Email DailymotionDownloader about a Dailymotion link that will not save, a copyright complaint or a privacy request, and see what a useful report includes.
We read everything sent to the addresses below. You will not find a web form here: one would need either a third-party form service or a database of messages, and we would rather keep neither. Writing from your own mail client also leaves you with a copy of what you sent.

Most failed links have a cause the error message already names. The guide to links that will not download covers each one. The usual suspects are a video set to private or limited to certain countries, a channel or playlist address pasted where a single video was expected, and a results page left open long enough for its stream links to expire, which a fresh lookup fixes.
What a useful bug report contains
We can usually reproduce a problem straight away when an email has these five things:
- The address you pasted, copied in full rather than described. We cannot test a video we cannot find.
- The wording of the error. Each message has its own cause, so the exact text tells us more than "nothing happened".
- Whether a logged-out window can play it. Try the video in a private or incognito window. A video that will not play there is not public, and that explains the failure.
- The quality and browser you used, such as "1080p in Firefox on a Mac" or "720p in Chrome on Android".
- What you thought would happen. Now and then the tool behaves as intended and the intention is what needs changing.
Things outside our reach
To save you waiting on an answer that cannot help:
- Your Dailymotion account. Logins, uploads, strikes and moderation are Dailymotion's, and we have no view into any of them.
- Videos that are not public. Private, password-protected and region-restricted videos stay out of reach by design, and requests to change that will be declined.
- Videos that have been removed. When Dailymotion deletes a video, its streams go with it. We never kept a copy, so there is none to send you.
- Copies on other sites. We host no media, so a takedown sent to us cannot remove a re-upload elsewhere. The site hosting it is the one that can.
- A higher lookup allowance. Lookups are capped per address to keep the service usable for everyone, and the cap is the same for every visitor.
Replies
Bug reports that include a link and the error text are looked at first, because those are the problems we can fix. Complete copyright and privacy requests get a direct answer. We do not quote a response time we might miss, but a valid notice is never left unanswered.
