Terms of Use

The agreement for using DailymotionDownloader: which videos you may save, what is not allowed, who owns a downloaded file, and what we do not guarantee.

Checked · By DailymotionDownloader

These terms apply whenever you use DailymotionDownloader. Using the site means you accept them; if you do not, please stop using it.

The service in one paragraph

DailymotionDownloader is free. Give it the link to one public Dailymotion video and it looks up that video's public details, then fetches the quality you pick and packages it into an MP4 in your browser. It works only for videos Dailymotion makes publicly available. It cannot open private, password-only or region-restricted videos, does not work around protection a rights holder has applied, and has no way to bring back a deleted video.

Uses that are fine

  • Saving videos you published yourself.
  • Saving videos whose rights holder has agreed that you may keep or use them.
  • Saving works in the public domain, or released under a licence that allows copying.

Uses that are not

  • Re-uploading, sharing or earning money from someone else's video without a licence or their consent.
  • Anything that breaches copyright, trademark, privacy or personality rights.
  • Collecting videos of a person without their consent, or using the service to harass, threaten or defame.
  • Scripts, bots, bulk lookups, scraping, or attempts to get around the lookup limit.
  • Testing, overloading or interfering with the service or the systems behind it.
  • Any use that breaks the law where you are.

Ownership of downloaded videos

Copyright in a video stays with its owner after you save it. Getting any permission you need, and how you use the file afterwards, are your responsibility alone. Rights holders with a complaint should read the copyright page.

Dailymotion

We are not connected to Dailymotion, and it has not approved or sponsored this site; the name is its owner's trademark. When you use Dailymotion itself, the Dailymotion Terms of Use govern that, as an agreement between you and Dailymotion. They limit downloading without permission, and it is up to you to check how they apply to what you are doing.

Uptime and changes to the service

Nobody pays for this service, and we do not promise it will always be available. It relies on Dailymotion, which can change how it delivers video at any moment, so parts of it may stop working without warning. We can alter, limit, pause or end any part of it whenever we choose, and block addresses that abuse it.

Warranties

We provide the service as it is, when it is available, and make no promise of any kind, stated or implied. That includes any promise that it suits a particular purpose, that its results are accurate, or that using it infringes nobody's rights.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we accept no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost data, income or profit, that results from using the service. Where the law does not let liability be limited, these terms do not try to.

Claims against us

If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the service or a file you downloaded, including a copyright claim, you agree to cover our losses and costs from it.

Updates to these terms

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and carrying on using the site after a revision means you accept it.
